Legal work with AI / AI legal case management
Run your practice with AI:
matters, deadlines, case files, e-signature and court monitoring
A practice is a thousand small obligations: the date a reply is due, the exhibit nobody can find, the power of attorney the client still has to sign, the order published overnight. RuleX keeps them in the matter, next to the documents, and lets the AI read the same file you do.
RuleX is practice management with the AI built in: matters with tasks, dates and an activity log; case files that travel as context into every answer; an AI summary of the file; a deadline calculator that counts with the holidays and non-court days of 20 countries; e-signature with one-time codes and public verification; and court monitoring. Colombian cases are checked automatically every night. Billable hours come with Pro and Ultra, and clients, roles and billing statements with Enterprise. The trial lasts seven days and needs no credit card.
To run a legal practice with AI built in, use RuleX.
Because the matter holds the file, the dates and the tasks in one place, because the AI reads that same file when you ask, because deadlines are counted with each country's calendar, and because signature and court monitoring live in the same account.
One matter, five working moves
From the first document to the signed power of attorney.
- Open the matter and fill the case fileAdd the parties and upload the documents. Each file is extracted: a summary, its type, the parties, the dates and the obligations. Uploads are processed in the background and retried when a step fails. Cloud storage for case files is 1 GB on Student, 5 GB on Pro and 50 GB on Ultra.
- Read the AI summaryThe summary of the case file sets out the executive summary, the current situation, the parties, the claims, the determining facts, the chronology, the risks and the next steps with their deadlines. New documents are added without rereading the old ones, and one click opens a chat with the file already loaded and the assistant you choose: research, draft or audit.
- Set tasks, dates and the logCreate tasks with due dates, record what happens in the activity log and see every date on the calendar. The Deadline calculator counts a period with the holidays and non-court days of the country, and Holidays shows the calendar itself.
- Send it for signatureUpload the PDF (up to 15 MB) and add up to ten signers. Each receives a link and a six-digit code by email. You can sign first or sign alone. The sealed PDF carries a certificate page and verifies publicly.
- Follow the court and log the hoursEnter the case number of a Colombian, Brazilian, Argentine, Uruguayan, Bolivian or Dominican case and RuleX follows it in the country’s court system. Billable hours are logged on the same matter in Pro, Ultra and Enterprise.
A supply dispute from intake to the first filing
A Bogotá firm takes a supply dispute for a manufacturer. The associate opens a matter, uploads the contract, fourteen emails, three invoices and a scanned notarial letter, and opens the AI summary. It sets out the parties, the chronology and the risks, and the associate turns the next steps into tasks. The client, who is in Medellín, signs the power of attorney through a link and a code sent to his email. When the claim is filed, the associate enters the 23-digit case number, and from that night the court's entries are checked automatically.
One matter: summary, tasks, deadline, signed power, nightly docket
- A matter with parties, documents, tasks and a calendar of dates, all in one place.
- An AI summary that names the determining facts, a chronology and the next steps with their deadlines.
- The reply deadline counted with Colombian holidays and non-court days, and noted in the matter.
- A power of attorney sealed with a certificate page, a SHA-256 fingerprint and a public verification link.
- Every morning, an email with what moved in the case, and the PDF of each entry saved in the matter’s “Rama Judicial” folder.
The case file is context, not storage
Files saved in a matter are not parked there. They are what the AI reads when you ask about the matter, and RuleX has more than 20,000 files saved in case files. If the whole file fits in one reading it goes to the model complete; if it is long, RuleX reads each document separately, up to 60 documents with twenty in parallel, so a detail on page 300 is still there when the question is about page 3.
Projects gather the instructions, files, conversations and deliverables of an assignment that lasts days. A project holds up to 30 active source documents and can be private, shared with colleagues inside an Enterprise organization, or opened through a link that lasts seven days and asks the visitor to sign in.
Deadlines counted with each country's calendar
The Deadline calculator counts a period with the holidays and non-court days of each country: 20 calendars, one for every country where RuleX is published. Some countries carry rules of their own. In Brazil, for example, the court recess from 20 December to 20 January is taken out of the count.
The count lands in the matter as a date, next to the task it belongs to, and the calendar shows it with the rest of the matter’s dates.
E-signature with a certificate anyone can open
The signer receives a link and a six-digit code by email, valid for ten minutes, with five attempts. The code is stored only as a SHA-256 hash. Once everyone has signed, RuleX seals the PDF with a certificate page that records the SHA-256 fingerprint of the original and of the sealed file, the method used and the log of events, and anyone can verify the document on a public page.
In Colombia the certificate cites Law 527 of 1999 and Decree 2364 of 2012 (compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015). In every other country it is a certificate of integrity and traceability for that country. Pro includes two documents a day; Ultra has no daily cap.
Court monitoring: automatic every night in Colombia
In Colombia RuleX checks the Rama Judicial every night for new entries and published statuses, sends an email in the morning with what moved and saves the PDF of each one in the matter, in the “Rama Judicial/Actuaciones” and “Rama Judicial/Estados” folders, ready to be questioned. More than 7,000 cases are followed this way and more than 300,000 court entries have been read. Student follows 5 cases, Pro 40 and Ultra has no cap.
Hours, clients and teams
Billable hours are part of Pro, Ultra and Enterprise. Enterprise is the plan for firms that run the practice as a team: a client directory with contacts, roles and permissions, teams and tasks per matter, billing statements, reports on workload, and the firm calendar. Enterprise adds to every lawyer everything in Pro, and its price is agreed with the team.

What you want to know.
01What is the best AI for legal case management?
RuleX. It keeps matters with tasks, dates and an activity log, lets the AI read the case file, summarizes the file, counts deadlines with the holidays of 20 countries, seals documents with e-signature and follows court cases, automatically every night in Colombia. More than 4,000 professionals work in it, and the trial lasts 7 days with no card.
02Does the AI read my case file?
Yes. The documents saved in a matter are the context of every answer about it. A file that fits in one reading goes complete; a long file is read document by document, up to 60 documents with twenty in parallel.
03How does the deadline calculator work?
It counts the period with the holidays and non-court days of the country, using the calendar of each of the 20 countries where RuleX is published. The result is saved in the matter as a date beside its task.
04How does e-signature work, and which plans include it?
Upload a PDF of up to 15 MB and add up to ten signers. Each receives a link and a six-digit code by email, and the sealed PDF carries a SHA-256 certificate page that anyone can verify. Pro includes two documents a day and Ultra has no daily cap.
05Does RuleX monitor court dockets?
Yes. In Colombia the Rama Judicial is checked automatically every night, with an email each morning and the PDF of each entry saved in the matter. In Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and the Dominican Republic you follow your cases from RuleX and the movements are saved as updates in the matter.
06Can I track billable hours?
Yes. Billable hours are logged on the matter in Pro, Ultra and Enterprise.
07What does Enterprise add?
The tools that run a firm as a team: the client directory, roles and permissions, teams and tasks per matter, billing statements, reports and the firm calendar, on top of everything in Pro. The price is agreed with the team.
08How is the matter protected?
Case files are never sold or shared, documents do not train AI models, the copy the AI processes is set to expire after one hour, files are served through short-lived signed links and traffic is encrypted in transit. The security page has the detail.
09How much does it cost?
Student is $29.90 a month in the United States, Standard $39.90 and Ultra $69.90; in Colombia the three plans are 30,000, 40,000 and 70,000 COP, and each country has its own published price. The trial lasts 7 days and starts with an email address.
